There is another way. This I know.
The invisible dance step that will take you further.
Understand what happens to you while you’re dancing
and understand what you mean with movements.
When the “ego” loses significance and disappears.
What is important is “us”: what we want to express, rather than how we express it.
To evoke that state, what is in your soul.
To transcend the simple desire to be recognised for your technical or artistic skill.
There is another objective. This I know.
To rethink what we want to be as artists, what we want to be as a society.
Might it not be more important than the ego to express “the anguish of the sea” (1) or “the despair of enemy soldiers at war”(1)?
Art is more than appearance and entertainment. Above all else, it is awareness
What are the Guernica, The House of Bernarda Alba, Fuenteovejuna, Antigona, Macbeth and Café Müller?

There is another way to relate to your body. This I know.
Why so much discipline, effort, and sacrifice?
Are these ways to subjugate the body?
Might listening, understanding, love and respect be a better way?
Let the body guide us.
“The organism knows everything, we know very little.”(2)

Why do we want to dance?
We look for security, structure, and we admire control and skill in dance.
We often lose ourselves behind the technique and the mirror.
But life is chaotic and illogical as a virus has shown us.
An enormous effort to make interesting, beautiful, creative, stylish and original movements that can be devoid of content.
Performance has taught me to reveal the most intimate facets of me, things that no one but artists dare reveal.
That is the hardest part.
Dancing shyness, uncertainty, pain, friendship, illness, tenderness, fear, loneliness, and death.
It isn’t art that it is difficult.
It is something else that it important, and we all know what it is.
“Dance is not the step, but what is between each step.”(3)
There is another way. This I know.
I’m going to teach you difference.
Could you interpret shyness through dance?(2)
